Food photography lives or dies on colour, light and timing.

A dish photographed five minutes too late, under the wrong light, rarely does justice to what actually left the kitchen. Getting it right consistently, across a full menu or a seasonal specials board, takes both a trained eye for styling and enough technical control to keep colour and texture true to life shot after shot.

Shoots typically work around kitchen service rather than the other way round, minimising disruption while making sure every dish is captured at its best moment. Natural light is used wherever the setting allows it, with additional lighting brought in for venues that need it, so the final images always feel true to the room they were shot in.
